Opening the Door
Emotional Regulation gets you to the door of the Mind (where the beliefs that limit your potential are located), Mindfulness opens the door to the Mind.
Are you living someone else's Life?
Find what keeps you small compared to what you could be.Â
Most of the implicit beliefs wired into our emotional brain are so familiar to us, so ubiquitous, that we are not aware of them operating in the background of our decision making. Yet, they are there. And as long we are not aware of these self-limiting beliefs, they guide and twist the invention of our world, so that we don’t even know our lives exist in a shrunken version of our potential.  But we keep wondering: What are we missing? You know it’s there – you just cannot see it.
The question is: how do we become aware of these self-limiting beliefs that shape the expression of our potential? This is where Mindfulness steps in to open a gigantic door to a world we did not know even existed. In opening that door, we move from mindless participants in the creation of our lives to active conscious and intentional inventors of our lives.  The Observing Self is an underutilized faculty of our human endowment. In the development of Mindfulness, we wake up this sleeping aspect of our potential so that we no longer drift aimlessly on unseen currents.Â
Instead, we become active Observers of the forces at play in our minds. With this skill, you are able to recognize the brain/mind as a governing committee made up of various aspects of the Self that can be both destructive and constructive in nature. It is by waking up the Observer of the Self, through mindfulness training, that you learn to discern these particular voices within the Self.Â

The “Self” (that you have been calling “You”) is fluid in structure, rather than unchanging. In your mindlessness, a Self is constructed by the brain for the sake of your survival in this world. It is not “You” – it is only one potential construction of a Self among many. But you falsely identify it as you. And its job is for you to survive in the world to which you are thrust. The Self you are currently residing in is built for your survival – not for your thriving. This is where you are stuck.
Awakening the Observer of the Self Opens the Door to Developing a More Evolved Self
From Quantum Mechanics you learn that reality exists as potential and not objects out there. The Observer of that Potential is what brings forth the form of that potential (the particular construction of the Self with which you identify). In neurobiology you learn that you have never experienced reality. Rather you have experienced the brain trying to make sense of the world “out there”.Â
What you are actually experiencing is a virtual representation created “in there” (in the brain) based on the beliefs, biases, and assumptions that controls the brain’s perception. And the brain is creating your perception of the world in the dark (literally), using sensorial data feeds to create its best guess about the world “out there”. When, in fact, the brain is creating a world it perceives as “out there” from “in there” inside the brain. You are not perceiving reality – you are perceiving a virtual representation based on what the brain has come to believe is “out there”.Â
This is why waking up the Observing Self through mindfulness training is so vital. You and your thoughts are not the same. You and your beliefs are not the same. In fact, you are not having thoughts or beliefs – they are having you.Â
They are creating the world you are perceiving. And this perceptual map is wired into neuro-circuitry and has become so familiar that you don’t know to question it. It’s just the way it is. You think - It’s just me. NO, it is not. It is very convincing though. And you stay stuck in this perceptual trap forever. Feeling stuck. Having the sense that there is more to life than this. But not being able to have the eyes to see the world from a different vantage point.Â

The faculty of Mindfulness (awakening the Observing Self) is always there. It is waiting for you to tap into it and really start examining the world in which you live. You learn how to step out of the thoughts running through your mind. And, in particular, stop identifying with them as “You”. As you learn Mindfulness, you discover how incredibly small your world has become. Almost myopic. And how much greater are the possibilities that surround you. Through examining yourself through the lens of Mindfulness, this time, you learn how to open your eyes to see beyond the tiny Self you became through the process of adaptation. And toward the rich potential that has always existed right in front of you – only you didn’t have the eyes to see it. This is the promise of the Mindfulness: Awakening the Observer of the Self Course will deliver.
It will teach you to see beyond the Self that your brain developed as a way of coping with the challenges of the world on its own. Now it is time to awaken the Observer, so, now, you can bring a higher order vision to the invention of your life.
Without Mindfulness, There is No Way Out of the Self-Imposed Prison of Your Comfort Zone.
Emotional regulation is not going to solve the more deeply rooted problems that hold you back. But, without emotional regulation, you will This course takes over where the Emotional Regulation Course concluded.  You have gotten to the door of the Mind though Emotional Regulation. Now, the Mindfulness: Awakening the Observer of the Self Course teaches you how to open the door of the mind to reveal the forces shaping the way you perceive and act in the world. It is the tool needed to reconstruct the Self into a higher functioning organization of the Self. It is the tool to really help you understand what makes you tick.

You will learn Mindfulness by working through the materials in this course. And my using the guided meditations as a jumpstart to develop the skills of becoming the Observer. The gm’s work on both visual and audio ways of learning. Some people “see” thoughts, while many people “hear” thoughts running through their minds.  Both are included to find which avenue works best for you. You will also learn how to Observe the Observer. You will learn how to look into yourself and not identify with your beliefs as who you are – but as only one potential construction of an Observer. And that Observer can be reconstructed.Â
You will learn to see yourself and  the world through new eyes. Out of that, the world changes. Potential that you could not see in yourself (were blind to) – you now see and realize that the potential was always there. You just didn’t have the eyes to see it. With this course, you develop the “eyes” to see beyond the prison of your current comfort zone. This is awakening the Observer and the potential that it holds for you. It is the gateway that allows you to understand what makes you tick and to start working with your mindset.
