As important as learning to regulate your emotional nature, this skill only gets you to the door of the mind. What we now need is a new tool that can open the door of the mind and start making sense out of the thoughts that run through the mind. That tool is Mindfulness. With it, you wake up the Observer of the Self. And it is a game changer.
The Mindfulness Course teaches you to stop identifying thoughts as who you are. Instead, it teaches you to step out of your thoughts and beliefs that you have fused to and recognize that you have been asleep. And during that sleep, you identified thoughts and beliefs as who you were. It seems obvious that 'You" have thoughts. But that's not true.
Actually, thoughts and beliefs have you. You do not have them. They are creating the "you" that you have come to believe you are. They, not you, create the This condition is known as Mindlessness. And as long as you do not wake up, you stay asleep to a much greater potential than you could be.
Consequently, waking up the Observer of the Self is a critical moment in your personal development and self mastery. What you discover, as you wake up to this expanded sense of potential, is that "You - the current Observer that you are" exists as potential. As you grow in Mindfulness, the potential you exist as and can manifest also expands.
This tool of Mindfulness is critical to your growth as a human being. That is what this course aims to do. Awaken your Observer from its sleep, so that you can then growth a much more powerful potential Self. Most people mindlessly stay small because they don't know to look for more. They are blind to it. This course will awaken the Observing Self. You will stop identifying with thoughts as who you are. And wake up to a world where you become captain of your own destiny.
General Information
The Mindfulness Course is the second essential course in the six interlocking components of Rande Howell Empowered Learning opus. You must complete course 1 (Emotional Regulation) before starting this course. This Mindfulness Course depends on your learning the skills from the Emotional Regulation Course so that you are ready for this course.
This course is a mix of video lectures, guided meditations, readings, workbooks and training logs. It is more like a graduate level multi-media course.
There are 19 lessons and 2.5 hours of video. So plan on working and studying.
Remember, Mindfulness (awakening the Observer of the Self) is an essential skill for managing your journey into self-discovery. Without it, we stay blind to what we are blind to. Consequently, you stay stuck in repeating pattern that limit the development of your potential as a human being. You stay stuck in the comfort zone of the primitive patterns that create your sense of identify. It becomes your prison.
Mindfulness is the breakout tool. You would thing that, with the power that mindfulness offers, people would be highly motivated to master this tool of development. But people fear what they may find if they raise a mirror so that they can truly see. And in that fear, they remain asleep and the opportunity of a lifetime, drifts by them unseen. It is time to turn on the light of awareness so we can see what we have been blind to. This is our endeavor.
